I recently renovated a small 1950's home with very damaged maple flooring. There were deep grooves caused by rolling furniture and dog claws, water discoloration, missing pieces and damaged edges. They first warned me the result would be far from perfect and then they salvaged the floor. The result is not perfect, but it's got a beautiful warm glow from the old wood, it's smooth, it's protected and it's a huge step up from any vinyl flooring. I recommend them.
